Low energy consumption is the key that allows this freezer to be cost effectively powered from solar, wind, fuel cells or batteries. Daily energy consumption depends on ambient temperature (the temperature outside the freezer). At an ambient temperature of 90 degrees F (32 degrees C), it's rated to use only 279 Wh/day (24.5 Ah/day).
