 Product Description

Rectifier or "blocking" diode is used in small solar circuits to prevent power from "leaking" out through the solar panels from the batteries when there is no sun on the panel.

This keeps the power in the batteries.

The silver stripe on the diode is always facing the battery side of the circuit.

Diodes are not usually used in applications that are "solar direct" with no battery.
