| | This new Pure Energy Charger will charge both Rechargeable Alkaline and NiMH types of batteries, up to 4 at a time. Our favorite feature is that this charger can be powered at 12V through a USB port using a solar panel or battery (older models were AC powered). The charging current is 350 mA.

A slide switch on the charger selects battery type for all four compartments, so you can no longer mix alkaline and NiMH in the charger, but the 4 compartments still charge separately so you can charge AA batteries alongside AAA batteries, and charged batteries can be taken out as you need them.
